To make a search in “The Memorial Documents” click on “type of files” or on the site heading to which a document is associated to (regiment, cemetery, battle, for example).
If you wish to search (or suggest) a document associated to a particular combatant, you can only do it from the combatant’s index-card.
THE VIRTUAL MEMORIAL: AN ON-LINE DOCUMENTARY CENTER OF RESOURCES
The virtual memorial of the Chemin des Dames has a vocation for collecting, dealing and emphasizing documents about the history of the Chemin des Dames, and in particular with the lives of the combatants who died there.
Thanks to digitized documents (photographs, letters …) that net surfers (descendants, collectors)passed on to us, the Virtual Memorial appears as an on-line digitized centre about the Chemin des Dames.
