The Chemin des Dames area counts 14 French cemeteries, in which all the graves of the French combatants fallen at the Chemin des Dames were gathered together in the 1920’s.

These cemeteries frequently greet British or Russian combatants’ graves next to the French ones.

Some of these cemeteries also shelter the bodies of the combatants fallen during the battle of Soissons or during the battle of the Marne. Likewise, the French military cemetery of Maison Bleue (in Cornicy) situated in the department of the Marne, shelters combatants fallen at the Chemin des Dames in particular in the area of Berry-au-Bac and the coast 108.

Some graves of French combatants rest within some of the communal cemeteries of the Chemin des Dames.
